Lighting Instructions

1.

Slowly open the fuel supply valve at the gas supply.
(This prevents lockup of the excess flow check valve
internal to the regulator’s POL fitting.)

2.

Rotate the knob on the safety control so the white line
on the knob aligns to PILOT on the safety control.
Fully depress the knob while pushing the piezo igniter
button.  The pilot will light.  See Figs. 6 and 7.

3.  To observe the pilot, move the pilot viewing cover to

the side. see Fig. 7.

4.

Keep the knob depressed for about 30 seconds to
allow the thermocouple to warm up.

On new installations it may take a short time for 

gas to purge out any air before the burner lights.

Release the knob. The pilot should stay lit.

Once the pilot is lit, position the knob to ON as
indicated by the knob’s arrow.

Shut-Down Instructions

1.

Close all fuel gas supply valves.

2.

Allow the heater to burn off any fuel gas remaining in
the gas supply line.

3.

Turn the knob on the safety control to OFF. See Fig. 6.
(Push the safety control knob slightly and then turn to
OFF position.

4.

Disconnect the heater from its gas supply.
