5. Press the Menu button.
6. Rotate the knob until Battery Calibration is highlighted in the menu
bar.

Press the knob to Confirm battery calibration. The following screen
message appears:
8. Review the following if the calibration fails.
• The ambient temperature of the indicator must remain between
+5 C and +40 C (+41 F and +104 F) during calibration.
• If the battery SOC is not > 90% the following message is shown
in the middle of the screen:
• If the battery needs to be charged. Reapply external power to
the indicator. When the battery is charged to greater than 95%
SOC, shut the ESI down for a rest period of 2 hours for battery
stabilization. After the rest period reapply power and go to step
2 above.
• The Cal Due battery indicator continues to be observed during
normal operation if the calibration procedure is aborted.
7. When calibration is complete, the indicator automatically powers
down. A 5 hour rest period is required for the battery calibration to
be successful.
CAUTION
APPLYING POWER TO THE INDICATOR BEFORE THE
END OF THE 5 HOUR REST PERIOD WILL INVALIDATE
THE BATTERY CAPACITY CALIBRATION.
