Instructions for Igniting
1. CAUTION! Use odorless lighters!
Do not use liquid lighters, lighter gels or lighters containing kerosene!
2. CAUTION! Do not use spirit (ethanol) or gasoline for lighting or relighting.
Otherwise, deflagration (flashes) and uncontrollable heat may be generated.
3. CAUTION! Only use firelighters that comply with the European standard for
firelighters (EN 1860-3)! Use only neutral incineration material.
4. Never use water to extinguish the smoker chips.
5. Before hanging or placing the items to be smoked into the smoker oven, make
sure that the firelighter has completely burned off!
6. Do not store the smoker chips too dry, otherwise they may burn too quickly!
7. Before hanging or placing the items to be smoked into the smoker oven, make
sure that the smoker chips are covered with a layer of ash.
8. Let the smoker oven cool down completely before cleaning.
Never use water to quench the hot smoker.
This could otherwise cause burns and scalds!
9. The water in the pan must not exceed the maximum.
10. Before initial use, allow the smoker oven to heat up or the fuel to be aglow for
30 minutes.
Storage
• Protect the device against moisture or bad weather.
• If necessary, cover the device with a suitable cover after it has cooled down
completely.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the device!
