4.2.7 RENAME THE DEVICES
To change the device name, select the switching list on the receiver that is activated as “Easy
Manager”. The entry can be made directly on the switching list.
4.2.8 EASY MANAGER ON/OFF
You can recognize whether the Easy Manager is activated or deactivated by the fact that the
menu item “X” Easy Back Bridge is available in deactivated mode.

4.2.9 SETTING THE SAMPLING RATE
To avoid fl ooding the CPU, a sampling rate has been implemented. This rate determines the fre-
quency with which the manager sends heartbeats and the slaves send their inform requests.

For effi
ciency: The larger the network, the higher the rate must be.
•
For stability: The larger the network, the lower the rate must be.
•
As soon as every device in the network is detected, it is advisable to reduce the
sampling rate.
•
F5’ in the switch list (with Easyline Manager) sends a broadcast to request ALL
devices at once.
4.2.10 ALL IN ONE - EASY MANAGER
EASYLINE EXTENDERS DO NOT REQUIRE A USER SYSTEM
The Remote unitin the switching system must have the „Easy Manager“ mode enabled to replace
the role of the Switching Manager, the remote Extender then takes care of the communication of
the Extenders in the network.
