Sample setting
An example is used to show how to operate the appliance:
You wish to steam fresh carrots. The table of settings (see chapter "Instructions for
applications, tables of settings" from page 27) indicates:
Filling the water tank
Make sure that the water tank is filled for all of the operating modes of the appli-
ance.

Fill the the water tank with fresh, cold tap water up to the "MAX 1.25L" mark and
insert it into the opening provided.
Topping up water
The contents of the water tank normally are sufficient for one cooking procedure.
If water nevertheless needs to be topped up:

Fill up to the 0.5-litre mark at the most so that water will not overflow when it is
pumped back.

The point at which the water boils depends on the air pressure and therefore
also on the altitude level. The appliance adapts automatically to pressures pre-
vailing at its location.
Fill the water tank with tap water only, and not with bouil-
lon, wine or anything similar. De-mineralised (filtered) water
or distilled water may also not be used.
