Installation of the glass ceramic hob
Using clips makes it easier and quicker for you to install these units. You can
carry out the complete installation work from above.
■
Always lift the hob by holding it at the sides. Do not lift it by the front bar.
■
Be extremely careful when installing the glass ceramic cooking surface!
Do not place or drop any sharp or pointed tools (screwdrivers, etc.) on the
glass surface!
■
The glass ceramic hob must have a level and flush bearing. Any distortion
may lead to fracture of the glass panel.
– First neatly cut out the
worktop opening.
– Make sure that the sealing of
the hob is properly seated. If
the worktop surface is uneven
(tiles etc.), remove the sealing
strip and seal with a heat
resistant sealing compound.
– Then insert the clips into the worktop cut-out observing the clearance
indicated in the illustration on the previous page. It is not necessary to adjust
the height due to the horizontal stop motion device.
– Position the hob according to the illustration on the left side (1), align it (2)
and insert the clips (3).
– Should the worktop
recess have been cut
out slightly too large, it
is possible to increase
the pre-load of the
clips by screwing.
You will need the clamping elements S,
which have been included, in order to
install the glass ceramic hobs in worktops
made of granite, marble or similar
materials.

■
When connecting and repairing the appliance disconnect it from the
electricity supply with one of these devices.
■
Ensure that all live connections are safely insulated when installing the oven.
■
The earth wire must be so long that if the strain relief fails, the live wires
of the connecting cable are subjected to tension before the earth wire.
■
The connecting cable must not come into contact with hot parts of the
appliance.
■
Any superfluous cable must be removed from the installation area beneath
the appliance.
■
The connector box must not be used as a power distributor for other

■
The mains connection is made in accordance with the connection diagram
on the connector box.
