The thermal protection inter-
venes too much frequently
Wrong or unstable power supply
Try the machine on a different job-site
Excessive cable length or unsuitable
cross section
Use cables of suitable length and cross section
Too much weight on the machine
Remove any possible additional weight on the machine
Dirty motor
Check if the motor is well clean and remove all
the possible dirt
The fan is not turning properly
Check if the fan is well screwed or contact an authorized
Bona dealer for fan bearings replacement
Faulty thermal switch
Contact an authorized Bona dealer
Faulty motor
Contact an authorized Bona dealer
The drum release lever is too
hard or doesn’t stop at the high
position
Release pin and spring not enough lubricated or
damaged
Lubricate them or contact an authorized Bona dealer for
replacement
Lever sector plate or lever stop pin dirty, not
enough lubricated, damaged, worn-out or
broken
Clean or lubricate them, or contact an authorized Bona
dealer for replacement
The drum doesn’t come off
enough from the floor
Wheels joint, between the two parts of
the drum lifting rod, not properly adjusted
Adjust it at the right position
Dust is locking the wheels support
Clean it
The abrasive belt
doesn’t stay in its
position
Tensioner not properly adjusted
Adjust it (check the alignment with the rubber drum)
Spring of the tensioner not working properly

Decrease sanding pressure

Dust bag more than 1/3 full
Empty the bag
Dust bag dirty or with blocked pores
Shake out the dirt and wash the bag
Vacuum ducts and/or obstructed pipes
Clean air ducts
Suction bearings and shaft in bad conditions
