4.2 Preparing the raclette grill for use
Before you use the raclette grill for the first time, wash the grill plate, the serving
trays and the spatulas with washing-up liquid and hot water. Wipe the appliance
with a damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
Do not put any parts in the dishwasher.
4.3 Preparing the natural stone grill plate (accessory)
If you use the stone grill plate with article number 32022 (optional ac-
cessory, see page 48), this must be prepared for use to prevent stress
cracks (one-time operation).
Lightly rub a small amount of heat-resistant cooking oil (for example peanut oil)
over the stone grill plate and all around the edges.
Place the stone grill plate in an oven pre-heated to 250ºC and heat for at least 30
minutes.
Switch off the oven and leave the stone grill plate inside to cool down completely.
☞
Treating the stone grill plate in this way will give it an even colour. Stone
is a natural material, and its characteristics will vary from slab to slab.
Small cracks due to heating are to be expected and do not constitute
defects. Therefore, warranty claims concerning such cracks will not be
accepted.
