Chopping and mixing food
The Food Preparation System comes with various blades suitable for chopping,
slicing, shredding or grating food.
IMPORTANT!
Set the speed control to a lower setting for processing
softer food and to a higher one for hard cheese — but do
not use the appliance for chopping extremely hard foods.

With the chopping blade installed at the bottom of
the bowl, the system is ideal for chopping and mixing
ingredients for a dip or salsa, or for chopping cheese,
onions, garlic, herbs, vegetables, meat, nuts, etc.
• Holding the chopping blade assembly by the
upper plastic part, carefully place it on the spindle
in the centre of the bowl (Fig. 4).
CAUTION:
The
blade is very sharp! Always hold it by the upper
plastic part.
• Place pieces of food into the bowl, making sure
not to add more than the maximum level marked
on the bowl. For best results, do not attempt
to process more than the maximum quantities
recommended in the table on page 13.
• Place the cover on top of the bowl, aligning the
'open lock' symbol with the lid release button,
then turn it clockwise to lock (Fig. 5).
• Attach the motor unit to the lid so the controls are
facing you (Fig. 6).
• Plug the appliance into a wall outlet and set an
appropriate speed on the variable speed control.
• Press and hold the speed button to start processing. If
required, press the turbo speed button for an extra boost
of power. During processing, hold the motor unit with
one hand and the bowl with the other.
• When you have finished, unplug the motor unit, press the
release buttons and lift the motor unit off the cover.
• Press the lid release button and turn the lid anticlockwise
to open the bowl. Carefully take out the blade, then
remove the food from the bowl.
