Coolant Temperature Switch

1. Measure the resistance with an ohmmeter across the switch

terminals.

2. If infinity is not indicated when the coolant temperature is lower

than 83 °C (181 °F), the switch is faulty.

3. If 0 ohms is not indicated when the coolant temperature is

higher than 87 to 93 °C (189 to 199 °F), the switch is faulty.
