(A) Adjustment of pinion gap
(a)
Checking and Adjusting Pinion Gap
(Magnet Switch Type)
1) Disconnect the connecting lead from C terminal.
2) Energize the magnet switch and measure the gap between
the pinion tip and the stop collar.
3) To adjust the gap, change the length of the magnet switch
joint to the specified one.

Grounding of Brush Holder
1) Check the insulation of the positive brush holder.
2) If the insulation is defective, replace.

Checking Clutch
1) Check to see if the clutch gear is worn or damaged.
2) Check to see if the gear locks in the driving direction and
rotates smoothly in reverse.
