Optional Upper Grapple Fork
Refer to Figure 1-1:

The following instructions are for installing the grapple
fork. If grapple fork is factory installed, then skip to
“Customer Supplied Hydraulics” on this page.
1. Attach grapple fork (#2) to the mainframe with two
pivot pins (#1A).
2. Secure pivot pins with 1/2"-13 x 1 1/4" GR5 hex head
cap screws (#4) and hex flange locknuts (#5).
Tighten hex flange locknuts to the correct torque.
3. Remove end plugs from pivot holes at base end and
rod end of hydraulic cylinder (#6).
4. Position ports on hydraulic cylinder (#6) facing up as
shown and attach base of hydraulic cylinder to rear
clevis plates with pivot pin (#1B).
5. Secure pivot pin (#1B) with 1/2"-13 x 1 1/4" GR5 hex
head cap screw (#4) and hex flange locknut (#5).
Tighten hex flange locknut to the correct torque.
6. Remove port plugs from hydraulic cylinder (#6) and
pull rod end of hydraulic cylinder out.
7. Make sure grease zerk (#3) is pointing up as shown.
Attach rod end of hydraulic cylinder (#6) to front
clevis plates with pivot pin (#1C) as shown.
8. Secure pivot pin (#1C) with 1/2"-13 x 1 1/4" GR5 hex
head cap screw (#4) and hex flange locknut (#5).
Tighten hex flange locknut to the correct torque.
9. Continue with “Customer Supplied Hydraulics” on
this page.

Hydraulic hoses with fabric sleeves (#13 & #14),
adapters (#9), 90

#12) are not included with grapple as they will vary
depending upon which machine the grapple is attached.
The optional hydraulic hose kit is available through
Kubota upon request. It includes:
1 ea. 1/2" R2 x 99" lg. Hydraulic Hoses with 3/4" FJIC
Ends & Fabric Sleeve (#13)
1 ea. 1/2" R2 x 109" lg. Hydraulic Hoses with 3/4" FJIC
Ends & Fabric Sleeve (#14)
2 ea. 3/4" MJIC x 1 1/16" MORB Adapters (#9)
2 ea. 3/4" MJIC x 1 1/16" MORB 90
