Codix
141
Codix 141 is a timer: the timer starts counting when
terminal 4 input or terminal 5 input is activated.
Electronic or manual Reset possible.

Function
1
10-30 V DC,
Supply vUb
2
GND
, 0 V DC
3
GND
, 0 V DC
4
INP PNP,
the timer starts counting when a
voltage > 3.5 V is applied to terminal 4
input.
5
INP NPN,
the timer starts counting when a
voltage < 2 V is applied to terminal 5 input.
6
RESET MANUEL ENABLE,
Reset enable input: when terminal 6 is
connected to GND or to 0 V (< 2 V), the
key or the reset input allows resetting the
counter to 0.00.
7
RESET,
Reset input: when terminal 7 is connected
to GND or to 0 V (< 2V), the counter is
reset to 0.00 (electronic Reset)
8
is not used with the standard timer
3.2.1.1 Function of the front key
Pressing the front side key resets the timer to 0.
This function is only active when input 6 is set to
0 V or connected to GND.
3.2.2
Codix
143
Service timer with 2 messages, “Service” and “Pre-
Service”, and one output. NPN or PNP input. Elec-
tronic and manual Reset possible. With one single
Reset, the counter continues counting up to the
following service interval. No resetting to 0 occurs.
If the Reset key or the Reset input is activated a
second time within 4 s, the device is reset to its
delivery condition.
(The counter value is reset to
0.00, the message display preselections are reset
to 5000.00 and 4900.00!).
Example: service after 5000.00 hours, “SErViCE”
Pre-alarm at 4900.00 hours, “PrESErV”
(= 5000.00 – 100.00)
If a pre-alarm is set “PrESErV”: the following mes-
sage is displayed alternately with the current value
The recommended setting is 100.00 hours before
the service preselection. In the above example, the
pre-alarm occurs when the counter reaches
4900.00 hours and it remains set until the service
preselection is reached.
After 5000.00 hours the following message is dis-
played alternately with the current value
and the output at terminal 8 becomes active. This
alternating display and the output set remain active
until the counter is reset. For example, if the coun-
ter is reset when it displays the value 6000.00
hours, the blinking display and the output are reset.
The display shows for 4 s the new preselection
value, and then switches to the current counter
value. The message “SErViCE” and the output will
be set active again when the counter reaches
11000.00 hours (6000.00+5000.00).
