Rims
Please notice that bikes equipped with rim brakes
have a huge effect concerning the rims wear.
When doing long downhill-rides and/or riding during
wet conditions (rain, snow) the rim can show signs of
wear even after a short period of time.
Every type equipped with rim brakes (ex works) have
special wear indicators (except racing bikes). Depend-
ing on the type this can be a hollow (see image 1) or
little points (see image 2) on the rim. Further there
can be an invisible wear indicator which signalizes a
defect rim through a crack.
