WARNING
People falling into the unsecured can
Risk of personal injury!
▷
Take suitable precautions during the entire installation/dismantling process to
protect people from falling into the open can.
▷
Fence off the work area appropriately.
WARNING
Improper handling when setting the pump set down in a vertical/horizontal position
Personal injury and damage to property!
▷
Use appropriate means to secure the pump set against overturning, tipping over
and rolling off.
▷
Maintain adequate safety distance during lifting operations (load may swing
when being lifted).
▷
Use additional supports for the transport holder to secure the pump set against
overturning.
If the pump set is too long to be inserted into the can as a complete unit, the pump
body, the column pipe main, the distributor casing, the shaft seal and the bearings
should be installed as follows.
1. Check can 151 for any dirt and clean it, if required.
2. Connect the pump shaft to the intermediate shaft with a conical coupling.
3. Slide gasket 400.2 and column pipe 711.2 onto the shaft and fasten them to
discharge casing 107.
4. Fit a pipe clamp on column pipe 711.2 and fasten it securely.
5. Carefully lift up the pump body, position it vertically and insert it into the can.
Position the bearing of the intermediate shaft with gasket.
6. Fit drive shaft 213 or the next length of intermediate shaft 212.
7. Slide column pipe 711.1 onto the shaft and fasten it. Fit a second pipe clamp to
the upper length of column pipe 711.1. Lift up the pump. Undo and remove the
bottom pipe clamp. Insert the pump into the can until the upper pipe clamp rests
on the flange of the can.
8. Place the gasket (between can and distributor casing) on the pipe clamp.
9. Slide distributor casing 10-1 onto the drive shaft and fasten it to the upper flange
of the column pipe main or the bearing of the intermediate shaft.
10. Install the mechanical seal. (
12. Attach the hoisting tackle to the distributor casing. Lift up the pump. Fit the pipe
clamp. Thoroughly clean the sealing surfaces of the can and distributor casing.
Insert gasket 400.5 or 400.3 and lower the pump until the distributor casing sits
properly on the flange of the can.
13. Fasten the distributor casing to the flange of the can.
14. On variants with gasket, check that the flange faces of can and distributor casing
are parallel.
15. Attach the lifting accessories to the motor stool with eyebolts. Slowly lower the
motor stool onto the flange of the distributor casing. Make sure that the contact
between the levelled flange of the motor stool and the flange of the distributor
casing is plane and even.
16. Tighten the studs with hexagon nuts. Observe the tightening torque. (
17. Remove the eyebolts from the motor stool and store them.
