Special safety notes
•
Park the rotary tedder on solid and level ground.
•
Assemble all protective devices before putting the machine into operation.
•
When unfolding the outer swather discs into the working position, make sure that no-
one is standing in the swivel space of the swather disks.
•
Particular care should be taken when assembling the supplied components.
1. Preparations
•
Remove the protective frames attached to the rotary
tedder.
•
Unscrew the tine arms with tines from the control
pipe on the edge spreading mechanism.
•
Move the rotary tedder into the working position.

Caution: The swather disc arms with the tines
attached should be assembled according to the
direction of rotation. Observe the decals on the
rotary tedder.

green tines = swather disc rotating right
Fix the tine arms (2) from below to the disc plates (6)
with M16 bolts (5) and spring washers. Do
no tighten the bolts. Then inserte M12 bolts (1) with
washers from above and place them through the hole
in the tine arm. Push on the semi-round support (3)
as shown in the illustration. When all tine arms have
been fitted as described, place the reinforcement ring
on the bolts and secure the bolts with nuts and wash-
ers. For the torque settings, see chapter 4 "Care and
maintenance".
