Repair, service, maintenance and cleaning work must only be carried out when the machine
is at a standstill. Switch off the engine and remove the ignition key.
•
Protect the rotary tedder and tractor from rolling.
•
The raised rotary tedder must be prevented from accidentally being lowered!
•
After service and maintenance work has been completed, all protective panels and other
protective devices must be correctly fitted again.
•
Avoid skin contact with oil and grease.
•
If any injury is caused by oil escaping from the system, consult a doctor immediately.
•
Observe all other safety instructions to prevent injuries and accidents.
4. Care and maintenance
4.1 Special safety instructions
To ensure the correct operation of the rotary tedder and reduce wear, certain maintenance and
service intervals must be observed. These include intervals for the cleaning, greasing and oiling
of parts and components and the inspection and tightening of bolts. The bolts on all tines must
be checked after the first hours of operation and tightened if necessary (95 Nm), and thereafter
checked daily and tightened if necessary.
After each extended period of non-operation, ventilate the friction coupling on the PTO shaft
(KW 7.70; KW 8.80)
