11.12 Maintenance - Hydraulic System

11.12.1 Caution with Leaking Lines

Due to the risk of injury when searching for leaks use suitable tools and wear protective

goggles.

Escaping high-pressure fluids can penetrate the skin and cause serious injury.

Therefore depressurise the system before disconnecting lines. Ensure that all line connections

are tight before the pressure in the system is built up again.

Hydraulic oil escaping from a small opening is very difficult to see therefore use a piece of

cardboard when searching for leakages. Protect hands and body.

If any fluid penetrates the skin, it must be removed immediately by a doctor who is familiar

with this kind of injury; serious infections could otherwise result. Doctors who are not familiar

with this kind of injury should obtain the corresponding information from a competent medical

source.

Regularly check hydraulic lines and replace if damaged or aged! The replacement lines must

comply with the requirements of the device manufacturer.
