2. Dismantle servo lever with mounted linkage and connect servo to receiver. Switch on transmitter and
receiver. Set channel for windlass to neutral. Mount the servo lever at a 90 degree angle and screw it
tight. The already mounted adjusting ring [33 + 34] is placed between the lever of the microswitch
and the motor mounting in such a way that the switching contact of the microswitch is not triggered.
Tighten adjusting ring with grub screw. Slide the spiral spring (31) onto the protruding rod and secure
with adjusting ring (33) and grub screw (34).
3. Move the servo lever to the end position opposite to the direction of the motor via the remote con-
trol. Now the contact of the microswitch is closed via the adjusting ring. If necessary, adjust the servo
travel via the dual rate function of the transmitter or the positioning of the adjusting ring on the
linkage.
4. Then bring the servo in the end position in the direction of the motor for dropping the chain. The
collar leads the engine mount together with the engine and clutch and the connection between the
engine and drum (s) is opened. The drum (s) must now be able to rotate freely.
5. Put the servo in the centre position again. Now connect the motor to the 6V voltage source and check
the functions again.
6. Connect the end of the anchor chain(s) with the eyelet(s) [16] to attach the chain and glue the
eyelet(s) to the drum(s) at the desired location. Wrap the anchor chain(s) on the drum(s). The windlass
is now ready for installation in your model.
Have fun with your windlass
