MODEL #309 BLOWER MAINTENANCE
1.
Daily
- The Krendl Model #309 Blower needs to be cleaned daily. To clean out your Model #309 Blower,
use a steady stream of pressurized air to remove any excess debris from the fan blades and the motor housing,
eliminating future problems with overheating of the motor. Use an air hose to blow a constant stream of
pressurized air into the motor housing of your Model #309 Blower. Be sure to concentrate the air into the vent
holes on both ends of the motor housing (the brush end, as well as the plate end of the motor housing). Any
build up of insulation in these vent holes can cause overheating and contamination of the motor housing,
voiding your warranty.
2.
Weekly
- Inspection of the intake fan is recommended to check for bent or worn blades. Damaged blades
can cause bearing failure in your Model #309 Blower.
3.
Quarterly
- In addition, a quarterly inspection of the brush mechanism in your Model #309 Blower will
help ensure motor life. Once your brush mechanism is worn to 1/4” thick, Krendl Machine Company recom-
mends replacing the brushes to avoid any damage to the motor.
