4.9 Fitting the castors
– Place the platform ladder on top of a 8 mm thick pad. Next, tighten the screws of
the correspondingly marked castor. Caution: Make sure to use the correct castor
for each leg
– Make sure that the spring component is vertically and horizontally aligned when
fitting the castors to make sure that they will be working properly.
– In some cases, the weight of people with a very low body weight may be insufficient
to press down the castors. In that case, the castors have to be attached lower and
such that the feet are just off the ground. The gap between the base of the feet and
ground has to be 8 mm ± 2 mm.
