Note about changing the fuses
DANGER!
Risk of injury due to electrical power!
Carelessness will result in serious injuries or death.
Never change fuses F+, F- while electrically live! Always disconnect the power from the supply
unit before working on the expansion module. Even 3 min. after switching off the mains supply,
dangerously high voltages of ≥ 50 V (capacitor charge) may still be present on the DC link
busbars, on connector X1 and also on the fuses. So check that electrical power is not present!
Only once the DC link voltage has dropped to a residual voltage of less than 50 V (to be
measured at the DC link busbars and connector X1) is it allowed to work on the device.
Attention is to be paid to the warning sign on the service cover.
The device must be removed from the rest of the group to change the fuses. The
following is to be taken into account during this process:
1.
Only personnel with electrical engineering qualifications are allowed to work on the device
(see chap. 1)
2.
The service cover (see Figure 4.1) is to be opened carefully
3.
If there are traces of arcing in or on the device (e.g. soot deposits or metallised residue), the
device is to be sent to an authorised repair workshop.
4.
The cause of the fault is to be identified and rectified before replacing the fuses.
5.
Both fuses (F+ and F-) are always to be replaced.
WARNING! Risk of injury due to hot surfaces and components!
•
Carelessness may result in serious burns.
Even if the expansion module is removed from the group, the surface of the fuses may still be
very hot.
NOTE:
The service cover is only used to change fuses F+ and F-. Unauthorised
changes/repairs are not allowed. They will render void the warranty provided
by LTI Motion.
4.7 Specification, fuses F+, F-
Figure Position of F3
Specification
− Fuses F+, F- are used to protect the cables because the
cross-section is reduced with the combination of SO CM
BG3+4 with SO CM BG1+2.
− The fuses are on the right side under the service cover
(protection against touching).
− Both fuses are to be replaced if a fuse needs to be
changed.
Table 4.5 Fuses F+, F- specification.
NOTE:
Only the type: Si 100 A 22x58 A70QS100-22F is allowed.
Order no. Z230045 (Mersen)
