IMPORTANT NOTICE
Never use sharp or pointed tools to defrost/remove the ice from the
evaporator/freezer compartment. The evaporator/freezer compart-
ment contains refrigerated gas lines which, in the event of accidental
perforation, will render the refrigerator inoperable.
DO NOT ALLOW THE REFRIGERATOR TO CONTINUE OPERATION IF THE FREE-
ZER COMPARTMENT IS PIERCED
After defrosting, set the control to the maximum for 2 or 3 hours befo-
re turning to the desired position. When the refrigerator has not been
used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply and
leave the door partially ajar. This will help to reduce mould build-up.
WARNING
Wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the refrigerator after turning off
the unit.
WHEN YOU GO ON HOLIDAY
For short vacation periods, leave the control knobs on the usual set-
tings. In case of longer absences, (a) remove all foods, (b) disconnect
the electrical outlet, (c) clean the refrigerator thoroughly, including the
defrosting tray, (d) leave door open to avoid possible formations of
condensation, mould and odours.
POWER FAILURE
Most power failures are resolved within one or two hours and do not
affect the refrigerator temperature. However, you should minimize the
number of door openings while the power is off. During power failu-
res of longer duration, take actions to protect your food by placing
dry ice on top of packages.
