BODY WATER PERCENTAGE
NOTE: the value for the body water percentage is not suited to deter-
mine water retention (e. g. age-related) on a medical basis. If necessary,
ask your doctor.
Basically, a high body water percentage is considered to be of advantage.
Since muscles contain a great amount of water and fat little, people with
a low body fat percentage and high muscle percentage usually have a
high body water percentage. In contrast, people with a high body fat
percentage and low muscle percentage usually have a low body water
percentage.
Based on the following tables, you can determine the range in which
your body water percentage lies.

MUSCLE PERCENTAGE
The muscle percentage increases with physical training. The average
muscle percentage decreases with age. On average, women have a
lower muscle percentage than men.
