1.4 Standards
This Kontron MicroTCA™ shelf complies with the requirements of the following standards.

Electrical Safety EN60950-1 Conditions of acceptability:
• The equipment has only been evaluated for
use in office environment (pollution degree 2).
• The equipment is intended for connection to
TN power system and IT power system for
Norway only (phase to phase 230V).
• The equipment is a class 1 equipment and
must be connected to an earthed outlet. the
socket outlet shall be installed near the equip-
ment and shall be easily accessible.
• For safe operation, the equipment must be
protected by a max. 20A fuse (e.g. in the pow-
er installation system or in power supply plug
like in UK).
• Fire enclosure must be considered in the end
application.
• Slotboards that can be inserted must comply
to EN60950-1.
• Slots not used must be covered.
