CP308-MEDIA Module

B.1

Overview

The CP308-MEDIA module has been designed to include two DisplayPort connectors, an
S/P-DIF-Out port, a triple audio jack, a CD-In port, internal line-out mono port, a COM port, a
PCI Express Mini Card interface, a SATA drive (HDD/SSD) interface, an SD/SDHC socket, a
CompactFlash card socket, and a battery socket. The CP308-MEDIA module expands the
CP308 board from 4HP to 8HP. This additional capability opens up the broadest range of
expansion possibilities.

The DisplayPort and S/P-DIF-Out connectors as well as the triple audio jack are situated at the
front panel, while the connectors for COM, PCI Express Mini Card, SATA, SDHC, CompactFlash,
CD-In and internal line-out mono are onboard connectors. The module connects to the CP308
via the high-speed graphics extension connector and the high-speed I/O extension connector. 

The battery socket on the CP308-MEDIA module has the same function as the battery socket
on the CP308.

If a CP308-MEDIA module is used on the CP308, either the CP308 or the
CP308-MEDIA module may be equipped with a battery.
Using one battery on the CP308 and one on the CP308-MEDIA module simul-
taneously may result in premature discharge of the batteries.
