While "READY" is displayed on the LCD panel of REGIUS MODEL 190 and the
READY lamp is illuminated (blue), push the "erase" button as shown below in order
to select the desired ERASE MODE.

There are two types of ERASE MODE on the REGIUS MODEL 190, one is ERASE
MODE 1 (High-speed erase mode) and the other is ERASE MODE 2 (Low-speed
erase mode). In the ERASE MODE 2, the erasing lamp (halogen lamp) is applied to
the REGIUS plate for a longer time, compared to that for the ERASE MODE 1.
Select the appropriate mode according to the purpose.
ERASE MODE 1: This mode is used for cassettes that have been out of use left for
long time.
ERASE MODE 2: This mode is used in the following cases.
• To erase an image data from an improper X-ray exposure.
• To erase an image that does not need to be read after
exposure.
• To erase the plate after it is cleaned.
• To erase an image that is produced with a multiple exposure or
high exposure dose.
Switching ERASE MODE

In order to maintain image quality, the REGIUS Plate should be erased before starting examination
every morning.
The cassettes mentioned below have to be erased before exposure: failure to do so may produce
poor image quality.
• When the plate is cleaned.
• Cassette that has been left for a long time without using.
• Cassette that has been used for multiple exposure or high exposure dose.
