CHECKING AND CLEANING THE FINS OF THE RADIATOR AND OF THE EXCHANGER 4
WARNING
If compressed air, steam or water are directed on a person they can cause injuries.
Always wear a face shield, dust mask and safety shoes.
1. Open the radiator cover. For details, see paragraph
"RADIATOR COVER (3-33)"
2. The radiator-exchanger assembly (1) must be cleaned with
a jet of compressed air and, if necessary, with a low-
pressure water or steam washing cycle; the specific
products available on the market can be used, provided
that the instructions given on the package are followed and
that the washed parts are carefully dried.
NOTICE

Do not use products containing even a slight quantity
of oily substances, since these facilitate the adhesion
of dust, which affects the heat exchange adversely.
q
Carry out this cleaning operation whenever the
radiator or the heat exchanger are accidentally dirtied
with oil, diesel oil or greasy or oily substances.
q
If the machine is used in dusty places, clean the
radiator and the heat exchanger more frequently, in
order to prevent the fins from clogging.
