USING THE MENU

To perform the ATA test function, use the following procedures:
(1) Select the RADAR MENU screen and then highlight ATA TEST MODE.
(2) Press the ENT key to set the selection ready status and select ON.
(3) Press the ENT key again to fix the selection.
(4) Place the cross cursor over the test target and acquire.
(5) Press the TRUE/REL key to change the screen mode to TRUE.
(6) Confirm that the test target’s course (CRS) is 90
o
, and the speed (SPD) is 12 knots.
(The target bearing and speed will be shown in the upper right corner of the
screen.) If so, the ATA function can be considered to be normal.
(7) To exit from this menu, press the MENU key and then select OFF and press the
ENTER key.
6.2 CAL MENU
[On Screen Video Contrast]
The following soft preset items are used to change the brilliance of the video images
and texts on the screen. Each item can be varied in 101 steps, from level 000 to level
100.
6.2.1 VIDEO (Radar Video Brilliance)
Changes the brilliance of the radar echo presentation.
6.2.2 MARKER (Range Rings, EBL/VRM, PI, HL, Alarm Zone, Cross Cursor)
Changes the brilliance of various markers, Parallel Cursor, Heading Line, Alarm Zone,
and Cross Cursor.
6.2.3 PLOT (Ship’s track)
Changes the brilliance of plotting symbols and ID number used for the EPA and ATA
functions.
6.2.4 DATA (Texts and graphics outside the PPI screen)
Changes the brilliance of texts and graphics outside the PPI screen.
[Functional parameters Setup]
This menu is protected from ordinary key operations. To use this function, first turn off
the radar set. Second, press and hold the MODE key and turn the equipment on.
When the standby condition is established, turn the radar on to enter the following
menu functions.
