 JPEG, less compression, better quality.

 JPEG, standard compression.

Basic—

JPEG, more compression, lowest quality. 

RAW—

Unprocessed image data in its original state 

to which white balance, sharpness, contrast, etc., 
have not been applied. To create a printable file for 
printing, see 

page 55

TIFF—

 Uncompressed format used for saving highly 

detailed image data. Ideal for software programs for 
scanners and graphics applications.

NOTE:  For file type, RAW and TIFF are unavailable in Auto 

and SCN modes. If you set the file type to RAW or 
TIFF in PASM, then change to Auto or SCN, the file 
type defaults to Standard.

Color Mode

Choose color tones.

This setting is kept across Auto, 
SCN, PASM and independently 
in C1, C2, and C3 until you

NOTE:  EasyShare software lets you change a color picture 

to black & white or sepia. But you cannot restore a
