Connect
Connect
When the Mode dial is set to Connect, the camera can communicate with your
computer using a serial cable or infrared transceiver (DC210 only).
The camera automatically detects if it is attached to the computer via the serial
cable or an infrared transceiver. While in Connect mode the camera is controlled
by the computer. Except for the Mode dial and POWER button, all other camera
buttons are ignored. The Ready light indicates when the camera is on.
Once the camera is connected to a computer and the DC200/DC210 software is
installed, you are now ready to transfer the pictures from the camera to your
computer. Refer to the appropriate chapters of this user’s guide, or the software’s
quick setup guides, for more information on the software programs.
Checking Serial Port Availability
If your computer cannot communicate with the DC200/DC210 you may need to
adjust the serial port and speed settings. Adjust the settings using the KODAK
Mounter Software (chapter 7) or KODAK TWAIN Software (Chapter 8), or
follow the instructions on the Kodak Web site at http://www.kodak.com.
