5. LED indicator light
• The blue LED will blink twice to indicate that the device is turned on.
• The red LED will blink 3 times to indicate that the device is turning off.
• Alternating red/blue LED indicates that the device has entered into the
Bluetooth
®
pairing mode.
• The blue LED will blink once every 10 seconds when the wireless connection
has been established, as well as when playing some music or when a call is
answered.
• When the headphones are disconnected from the
Bluetooth
®
pairing mode the
blue and red LED will blink again.
• The LED is solid red during charging. It will turn off when the battery is fully
charged and it will blink when the battery needs charging.

III. Basic operation
Charge your headphones
• Plug one end of the supplied micro-USB cable to your headphones micro-USB
port and the other end into the USB port of your computer or to a 5VDC
≤
500mA USB adapter to fully charge the battery.
Note:
Remember to charge your headphones once every two months if they
haven’t been used for a long period of time. Please note that you will not be able
to use your headphones, while they are being charged.
• The headphones battery has to be initially charged for at least 3 hours.
Thereafter, the battery will take about 2 hours to recharge.
• Make sure that the headphones are fully charged before using it for the first time.
IV. Auxiliary wired connection
• Plug one end of the supplied 3.5mm cable to your headphones and the other
end to the 3.5mm auxiliary port in your input source.
Note:
The buttons of the device are disabled in Aux. mode. The unit can work in
Aux. mode even though the battery has no charge or if the device has been
powered off. The
Bluetooth
®
function will be inactive when the Aux. cable is
plugged in. The unit will need to be powered ON again when the auxiliary cable
is disconnected.
V. Advanced operation
Pairing the headphones with your mobile device
1. Press and hold the
Power/Multifunction switch
on the left ear cup for about 2
seconds. The device will power on and a voice prompt will indicate that the
device has automatically entered into the pairing mode. The LED light will blink
alternatively blue and red.
2. Next, set your
Bluetooth
®
mobile device to “discover” the wireless headphones.
3. Place both devices not more than one meter away from each other.
4. On your mobile phone, tap the newly discovered audio device
KWH-500
being
displayed in the
Bluetooth
®
list.
5. When the mobile device asks if you want to pair with it, click
Yes
or
OK
to
accept.
6. The LED light will turn blue to indicate that the
Bluetooth
®
connection is
successful.
7. If after 60 seconds the pairing process fails, please repeat steps 1 through 6
described above.
8. The headset will go automatically into standby mode after several minutes of
inactivity.
9. Turn off the headset when not in use to save battery power. “Power off” will be
heard to confirm your selection.
Pairing two devices
1. Follow the instructions above to pair the headphones with the first phone.
2. Then, turn off the
Bluetooth
®
function in the first phone.
3. Once you disconnect the first paired phone, your headphones will automatically
go back into pairing mode. The red and blue LED will blink alternatively after the
device has been disconnected.
4. On your second phone, search and select the newly discovered audio device
(
KWH-500
) being displayed in the
Bluetooth
®
list; the LED light will turn blue
after connection has been successful.
5. Turn on the
Bluetooth
®
function on the first phone and pair it with your
headphones.
6. Your headphones are now connected with the two phones.
Note:
You will be able to play music or answer calls from one phone at a time.
The two phones can’t work simultaneously.
