4.4 Operation and Maintenance
EVO-RX and EVO-RX HPM units are designed for contin-
uous operation. Therefore, it is necessary to inspect the
components that may become unclean (filters, ex-
changer lamellas) or change due to wear and tear
caused by operation (damper mechanisms, bearings).
IF THE CU-AL HEAT EXCHANGER IS NOT USED DUR-
ING THE WINTER PERIOD, THE EXCHANGER MUST BE
EMPTIED OF THE WATER WITH A DRAIN VALVE.
In order to keep the unit in continuous operation,
an inspection should be carried out, consisting of
• checking the connections of all flanged and bolted el-
ements
• checking the protection against corrosion of individual
elements of the units
after 12-month periods:
• checking the cleanliness of heat exchangers and recov-
ery exchangers, if necessary, remove dirt with a vacuum
cleaner, soft brush or blow with air
• checking the cleanliness of the fans,
• verification of the wear and tear of the damper moving
parts, possible damages,
• checking the condition of the cooling pipes, oily spots
may indicate leaks.
Fans with built-in EC motors are used as standard in the
units.
The bearing life of fan units under normal operat-
ing conditions is identical to that of the entire fan
drive. The fan bearing unit does not require any in-
tervention during periodic inspection of the unit.
NOTE:
In periods resulting from the operating conditions
of the air handling unit, an inspection should be
carried out for:
- Heat exchangers
They can be replaced in case of failure after removing
the covers and unscrewing the screws fixing the ex-
changer. When ordering a new heat exchanger, you
must specify its full designation on the nameplate.
Technical data as well as type and desi-
gnation of the fan, heat exchangers, are
included in the Quality Control Certifi-
cate.
Any repairs of the air handling units sho-
uld be carried out when the air handling
unit is switched off from the network. Ma-
intenance and repairs may be performed
by persons authorized to perform the
above mentioned works.
Any repairs of the cooling system should
be carried out when the air handling unit
is switched off from the network. Mainte-
nance and repairs may be performed only
by persons authorized to perform the abo-
ve mentioned works (authosired service).
5. FUNCTIONAL UNITS
Depending on the functional requirements of the air
handling process, the EVO- RX units are equipped with
the following batch units:
5.1 PF Air filters
To remove the exhaust air filter, remove the cover and
pull the filter out of the guide.
The new cassette filter should have a self-adhesive seal
attached.
The supply air filters are fixed in guides and pressed
against the seal with a flat bar on an eccentric joint. A
self-adhesive flat gasket should be attached between
the filters.
The dimensions of the filters used are specified in the
KT certificate and in the following tables.
The factory transport safety devices sho-
uld be removed when the unit is seated at
the destination.
