MA-X View 600 Sonar System Operations and Maintenance Manual P/N 11210097, Rev. 00

1.2.6 Tow Cable

The standard tow cable is 50 meters long, Kevlar reinforced and includes a single 
coaxial conductor. It is used to tow and to provide power to the towfish, to transmit 
commands from the SP-III TPU to the towfish, and to transmit sonar and sensor 
data from the towfish to the SP-III TPU. Cable lengths longer than 50 meters are 
available.
