Technical Description
5.1
System Design / Principle of Operation
The KS 218 - TS or KG 218 - TS recognizes without contact hot objects located in its measuring beam, to
trigger a switch process. The switching level can be adjusted via potentiometer, the switch status is indicated
by LED. The switch is used for recognizing, counting or positioning of hot objects e.g. in forges or steel works.
The instrument is equipped with a white LED targeting light for exact alignment. During operation the LED is
always on.
The operating elements as well as the connections/interfaces are located at the back of the pyrometer (see
Operating elements (section 5.3) at page 6).
