5.5. Setup Menu
Press “BA” and “Enter” at the same time to call the Setup Menu.
Press “Enter” to go to the following Setup point and press “BA” to
leave the Setup Menu.
The following functions and parameters can be set in the setup
menu:
Language of display text:
The following languages can be displayed: German, English,
French or Spanish.
Start measurement:
Select “intern” for internal start of measurement via integral prox-
imity switch, or “extern” for external start of measurement via start
contact “STA” or via bus interface.
STA lead breakage recognition:
The STA start contact lead can be checked for breakage. Select
“on” to activate the detection of lead breakage.
Select memory:
Use the program memory number in the “Program” operating
mode to select “manual” memory and the PLC or bus interface to
select “extern” (external) memory.
Remote control
Setting of the remote control to the operation mode “standard” or
“extended”.
Relay mode:
Switch over between two different relay modes, “standard” and
“alternative”.
Relay reset:
Determine whether the relays are to drop out at 24 V level (“24V
active”) or at 0 V level (“0V active“).
Repetition time:
Set time between subsequent measurements when start signal is
on continously. Setting repetition time to 0 seconds causes device
to perform 1 measurement per start signal.
Sensor settings:
Even though the measurement procedure is relatively tolerant
towards the changes in spacing (±0.5mm), it is mandatory that the
spacing setting is performed.
