• This appliance can onlay be used by
children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical,sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concer-
ning use of the appliance in a safe waya-
nd understand the hazards involved.
• Children less than 8 years of age shall be
kept away unless continuously super-
vised. Do not allow children to play with
the appliance or sit, stand, or climb on it.
Do not store items of interest to children
in cabinets above the appliance. Children
climbing on the cooktop could be seri-
ously injured.
• Never leave the appliance unattended
when in use. Boilover can cause harmful
smoke and greasy spillovers that may
ignite.
• Unwary cooking on a hob with fat or oil
can be dangerous and may result in Fire.
Never try to extinguish a fire with water,
but switch off the appliance and then co
-
ver flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.
• No combustible material or products
should be placed on this appliance at any
time.
Never leave any objects or utensils on the
appliance.
• You should not heat airtight containers,
such as ready-to-eat cans, on the hob.
This could cause an explosion.
• Use cooking utensils intended and suita-
ble for higher temperatures (up to 200°C,
induction hob).
• Plastic household objects (spoons,
bowls, etc.) must not be placed on the
hot hob; they could melt firmly.
• If sugar or food containing sugar gets
onto the hob, it must be removed im-
mediately - if possible while still hot - in
order to avoid damage caused by the
following chemical reactions.
• Do not use sharp-edged or uneven coo-
king utensils or sharp or pointed objects
on the induction surface. The glass
surface could be damaged.
• Do not place or drop heavy objects on
your cooktop.
Do not stand on your cooktop.
• Never use your appliance as a work or
storage surface.
• Never use your appliance for warming or
heating the room.

After use, always turn off the cooking zo
-
nes and the cooktop as described in this
manual (i.e. by using the touch controls).
Do not rely on the pan detection feature
to turn off the cooking zones by removing
the pans.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Disconnect the device from the power
supply before carrying out any cleaning
or maintenance work.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children without supervision.
• Do not repair or replace any part of the
appliance unless specifically recommen
-
ded in the manual. All other servicing
should be done by a qualified technician.
• Do not use scourers, abrasive cleaners or
aggressive cleaning agents to clean your
cooktop, as these can damage the hob.
• Do not use a steam cleaner to clean your
cooktop.
• The razor-sharp blade of a cooktop
scraper is exposed when the safety cover
is retracted. Use it with extreme care and
always store it safely and out of reach of
children.
Failure to use caution could result in
injury or cuts.
