BEFORE THE FIRST USE
CLEANING
• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or
plastic from the device. • Clean the plate with a damp cloth. • Connect the power cable to the
socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage
before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50Hz) • The heating plate is provided with a
protective layer which for the first use should be removed. Switch the device and select the
highest setting for 10 minutes. There may be created some smoke by the protection which now
lit the heating plate. Then you can switch off the cooker or use it.
• Unplug, before cleaning, the plug from the socket and allow the plate to cool down completely.
• Do not use toxic and abrasive cleaners such as gasoline, scouring powder or solvent. A normal
kitchen cleaner or detergent is sufficient. • Never immerse the appliance in water or other
liquid. • Remove the cooking residues immediately. • Beware! The plate is hot. Energy saving
tips • Use only pans with a diameter equal to the hotplate. • Use only pots and pans with a flat
bottom • If possible keep the lid on the pan while cooking • Cook vegetables, potatoes, etc.
with little water to shorten the cooking time. • Use the correct temperatures for the different
meals to prepare.
