Set-up, installation and connection
5.1 Setting up the unit
When setting up the unit, observe the following set-up conditions:
n
Ensure an ambient temperature b10 °C – +38 °C (as
per climate class SN and ST).
n
Ensure an ambient temperature b10 °C – +32 °C (as
per climate class SN).
n
Select a dry and well ventilated set-up location.
n
Do not set up the unit next to heat sources.
n
Avoid direct sunlight.
n
Set up the unit on a firm, level surface.
n
Compensate for uneven ground with adjustable feet.
n
Do not cover, block or line the ventilation grille.
n
Do not cover, block or line the cooling machine.
n
Maintain a minimum distance of 2 cm between wall and unit (for
example by means of a spacer).
n
Maintain a minimum distance of 2 cm between units.
n
Comply with the minimum available space at the set-up location
in order to avoid a potentially explosive as defined in DIN
EN378-1 for the use of refrigerators and freezers with combus-
tible refrigerants (R600a, R290a).
The basis for calculating the minimum available
space at the set-up location is the largest fill quan-
tity of refrigerant in the existing or planned refriger-
ators. For the respective fill quantity of refrigerant,
R600a: volume = refrigerant fill quantity / 8.6 g/m³
R290a: volume = refrigerant fill quantity / 7.6 g/m³
Only parts produced by LABEX
®
and parts that are
electrically conducting may be used; failure to
comply with this automatically invalidates the
explosion protection of the interior.
For any LABEX
®
unit, observe the following operating conditions:
n
Do not set up the unit in areas with potentially explosive atmos-
pheres.
n
Make sure that no electrostatic discharge can take place in the
interior.
n
As a user, touch an earth connection to discharge before
touching the interior.
n
Keep the chilled goods in closed, break-proof containers and
position the containers so they are stable.
