For best results when cleaning the filter cartridge, it is recommended to first rinse it roughly (Image 7) with
running water and then soak it completely in a bucket with "BioCool Clean my pool filter" filter cleaning
tablets for at least 6 hours and then rinse again (image 7) with running water and from the inside and
outside. The cartridge can be cleaned by pressure from inside and outside only with a garden hose (Do not
use high pressure). After hosing the cartridge, for best results, allow cartridge to dry and carefully brush
pleated surface areas to remove fine particles. The cartridge shall be replaced when needed and at least
once per year.

Replacing the cartridge
1. Carefully replace cartridge element over tie rod and into filter body ensuring that the cartridge sits
evenly on the collector hub in bottom of filter body. (5. / image 8).
2. Tighten locking ring in clockwise direction. (Hand tight only) (image 8).
3. If you have cleaned the pre-filter at the bottom of the filter system, check that the seal O-ring is
installed correctly before reattaching the cover with the hose connector (Image 2). Reconnect the
hose with the hose clamp.
4. Open valves or other means release the water flow freely between the filter system and pool. Closed
valves might cause serious personal injury or property damage.
5. Open the manual deaeration valve above a few turns (Image 4) to release the air. Air in the system
flows through the deaeration valve, close it when the water flows evenly. Tighten the deaeration
valve so that it does not leak, be careful not to over-tighten it so the valve or the seal is not damaged.
6. Plug the cord into the electric socket so start up system.
7. Check that the water circulates well and returns to the pool. Also check the pressure gauge value.
8. The air in the hoses comes out into the polol, but it should stop after a while.
9. Check connections and tighten if necessary.
10. If necessary, the system may need to be vented after some time as in step 5
