IMPORTANT
The engine will not start unless the
range gear shift lever (Hi-Lo) and the
P.T.O clutch lever are in the “OFF”
position.
(1) Clutch Pedal
9. DEPRESS THE CLUTCH PEDAL.
10. TURN THE KEY TO “START” POSI-
TION AND RELEASE WHEN THE
ENGINE STARTS.

11.CHECK TO SEE THAT ALL THE
LAMPS ON THE EASY CHECKER
ARE “OFF”.
12. Release the clutch pedal.
(1) Engine Oil Pressure
(2) Electrical Charge
(3) Glow Plug Indicator
(4) Parking Brake
NOTE
When ambient temperatures are
colder, a longer pre-heat time is
necessary.
WARNING
Do not operate the starter motor
continuously for more than 10
seconds.
If the engine does not start; turn the
switch to “OFF”, wait 30 seconds,
and repeat the starting procedure.
Never engage the starter motor be-
fore the engine stops turning.
If you need additional pre-heating, turn
the key off and try the same procedure
again or turn the key to “Manual pre-heat”
position and hold it. Do not pre-heat over
15 seconds, more than 10 times without
any break.
When the coolant temperature is over
60°C(140°F) the auto pre-heating does
not work.
In this case, just turn the key to “start” to
crank the engine.
