The heater must be examined at once in case of the following occurrences:
- The desired temperature is not reached.
- The burner makes rattling sounds in use. (A low sound after extinguishing the flame is normal, however.)
- Gas smell together with an extremely yellow colouration of the fire tips.
The gas controller and gas hose always must be placed securely to avoid tripping accidents.
After maintenance, all protection parts of the heater must be installed again before it can be used.
Adults and children should always keep enough distance from the flame to prevent burns to their skin and clothing.
Children require special attention near the heater.
Clothing and other flammable objects should not be kept on the heater, nor near it.
The gas cartridge must only be replaced in sufficiently ventilated rooms, at a distance from fire sources.
(e. g. cigarettes or candles)
Check that the regulator seal is correctly fitted and able to fulfill its function.
(as you can see in the image on the right)
Never block the valves in the housing.
Turn off the gas valve at the gas cartridge after use.
The device must never be used if there is a gas leak. If it is already in use,
the gas supply must be stopped at once. Then the device must be examined
and damage must be removed before it is used again.
The tubes or flexible hoses should be examined at least once per month or
when replacing a gas cartridge.
If there are any cracks, gaps or material aging, the hoses should be replaced
with matching hoses of the same length and quality.
The use of this appliance in enclosed areas can be dangerous and is PROHIBITED.
Read the instructions before using this appliance. The appliance must be installed
in accordance with the instructions and local regulations.
For connection of hose and regulator and connection of regulator and
cylinder, please refer to image showed above.
2. Placement of the terrace radiant heaters
The radiant heater is only designed for outdoor use.
Adequate fresh-air supply must be ensured at all times.
A sufficient distance from flammable objects must be observed at all times.
(At least 100 cm on top and at least 100 cm at the sides)
Only put up the radiant heater on solid ground.
Never operate the radiant heater in a potentially explosive environment.
(e.g. in locations where gas and similar substances are already being stored.)
The base of the radiant heater must be firmly anchored in the ground with
screws to protect the heater from wind.
