Connection
The module connectors, DIP switch, and status LED are
shown in Figure 1:

2. Loop connectors
3. Auxiliary power supply connectors
4. Relay output connectors (C, NC, NO)
5. DIP switch
6. Status LED
Loop overloading
Always verify large installations using a loop load calculator to
confirm that enough power is available on the loop.
Note:
To avoid loop overloading when using loop-powered
devices, see the system installation and configuration
guidelines in the Loop Power and I/O Modules Application
Note. This document is available from your local distributor.
Power supply configuration
To set the module power supply, remove the unit cover and
configure jumpers JMP1 and JMP2.
Loop powered jumper
configuration.
24 VDC auxiliary power supply
jumper configuration.
WARNING:
Do not connect a 24 VDC auxiliary power supply
to the module if power is supplied by the loop
Addressing
Each module requires a numeric address between 128 and
252 for identification purposes. This is set using DIP switches
1-7. See the address table at the end of this document.
Status LED
The status-LED (Figure 1, item 6) is configured using DIP
switch 8:
•
If set to ON the LED will flash during all communications
between the module and the control panel.
•
If set to OFF it will flash only during selected
communications between the module and control panel
(see control panel manual for further details).
The status LED is lit constantly during alarm.
Maintenance and testing
Basic maintenance consists of a yearly inspection. Do not
modify internal wiring or circuitry. To test the module:
1. Configure the module as an output to be activated by a
detector or manual call point.
2. Remove a detector head from its base or activate a
manual call point.
3. If the status-LED and control panel fail to indicate the test
all connections should be checked and the module
address verified.

Descripción
El módulo KAL730 proporciona una salida de relé libre de
potencial para un bucle del sistema de detección de incendios
direccionable.
El relé permite la instalación de contactos comunes (C),
normalmente cerrados (NC) y normalmente abiertos (NA).
