Prepare Foam Trolley for Pull Out:
The success of the Avi
-
FoamGuard system depends a great deal on using the proper pull out and start
-
up procedure.
Do not attempt to operate the Avi-FoamGuard until you read and understand the preceding section titled
"Handling the Polyethylene Tube"!
Place the Avi
-
FoamGuard system into position with the foam trolley pointed
squarely towards the long axis of the house or area to be foamed. Be especially careful to have the machine square
and in good alignment with the foaming path. Be sure the Avi
-
FoamGuard is on a level surface. If the machine is
mounted on a trailer; chock the wheels on the trailer to prevent movement while the foam trolley is being pulled out
and retracted.
The following steps are
important!
Step 1
-
Lift the Anti
-
Reverse Pawl.
Once the pawl is up, slide the hold-
ing pin under it to hold the pawl in
place.
Step 2
-
Disengage the Gearbox by
pulling the clutch lever out.
NOTE:
If the Anti
-
Reverse Pawl will not lift,
relieve pressure by attaching the pto hand
wheel to the gearbox pto shaft and turning it
counterclockwise until the spool rocks back.
This will take pressure off the pawl so that it
can be lifted. Only turn the spool just enough
to release the anti
-
reverse pawl. Over rotating
can cause the coils of tube to loosen. The
gearbox needs to be in high (H) or low (L) gear
for the spool to turn.
Clutch Lever Disengaged
Anti-Reverse Pawl Lifted
Holding Pin
Never pull the trolley out with the gearbox engaged, this will severely damage
the gearbox!!
Attach Hand Wheel - Turn Counter-Clockwise
