Shoulder harness MUST be through
slots closest to and above the
child’s shoulders.

WARNING!
Child MUST be at least 1 year old, weigh
between 22 and 65 pounds (10 and 30 kg), and
able to sit upright unassisted.
•
The LATCH belt or vehicle seat belt
MUST stay tightly adjusted around
car seat.
•
Secure the top tether strap
provided with this car seat as
specified in the vehicle and child
restraint owner manual.
•
Use only if the LATCH belt or
vehicle seat belt can be tightened
properly and securely.
•
For vehicles with an air bag, but
without a back seat, refer to your
vehicle owners manual.
•
For harness use, do not use the
lower anchors of the child restraint
anchorage system (LATCH system)
to attach this child restraint when
restraining a child weighing more
than 45 lb. (20 kg.) with the internal
harnesses of the child restraint.
Install with vehicle seat belt.
•
Using this car seat with a LATCH
belt or vehicle seat belt that will not
stay tightly adjusted around the car
seat can cause serious injury or
death.

1. Place child in car
seat with lower back
and rump contacting
seat back
(Fig. 1).
2. Shoulder harness

routed through the
proper shoulder
harness slots for the
child’s size
(Fig. 2).

3. Position shoulder
harness straps over
the child’s shoulders
and thighs
