To install shoulder harness straps:
1. Feed sewn loop at end of
each shoulder harness
strap up through one lap
belt slot (Fig. 1) . The
Energy Absorbing Harness
Pads with metal plate
should rest against the
bottom of the seat.
2. Thread harness straps into
buckle tongues , from
back to front.
Thread the harness straps
through the harness
retainer and harness
covers.
Make sure harness is not
twisted.
3. Slide harness ends
through the proper
shoulder harness slot
for your child’s size. From
back of car seat, pull
shoulder harness straps
through the back (Fig. 2) .
4. Remove metal splitter
plate from its storage loop
on back of seat.
5. Pull metal splitter plate out.
6. Thread loops on shoulder
harness strap ends onto
the metal splitter plate
(Fig. 3) .
7. Make sure both sides of
shoulder harness straps
are placed into slots on
metal splitter plate
(Fig. 4).
