Door locks

lock all doors when leaving your vehi

僅 An enclosed vehicle can become
extremely hot, causing death or
severe injury to unattended children
or animals who cannot escape the
vehicle. Furthermore, children might
operate features of the vehicle that
could injure them, or they could
encounter other harm, possibly from
someone gaining entry to the vehicle.
Never leave children or animals unat

tended in your vehicle.
CAUTION
When you leave your vehicle with the
smart key, make sure to press the but
-
ton on the front door handle or touch
the touch sensor on the front door han
-
dle to lock the doors after close all of the
doors, the hood and the trunk. If you do
not press the button or touch the touch
sensor firmly, the doors might not be
locked so please use caution.
NOTICE
僅 The outside rearview mirror will fold
or unfold if On door unlock is
selected from the Settings menu in
the infotainment system screen.
Select:

Settings → Vehicle → Conve

nience → Welcome mirror/light →
On door unlock
僅 The doors may lock or unlock if the
touch sensor of the outer door handle
is recognized while washing your car
or due to heavy rain.
僅 The doors may not lock or unlock in
the following situations:
- If the touch sensor is touched with
gloves on
- If the door is suddenly approached
Automatic door lock and unlock
features
Your vehicle is equipped with features
that will automatically lock or unlock
your vehicle based on settings you
select in the infotainment system screen.
Auto lock enable on speed
When this feature is set in the infotain
-
ment system screen, all the doors will be
locked automatically when the vehicle
exceeds 15 km/h (9 mph).
Auto lock enable on shift
When this feature is set in the infotain
-
ment system screen, all the doors will be
locked automatically when the vehicle is
shifted out of P (Park) while the vehicle
is running.
Auto unlock on shift to P
When this feature is set in the infotain
-
ment system screen, all the doors will be
locked automatically when the vehicle is
shifted out of P (Park) while the vehicle
is running.
Auto unlock vehicle off
When this feature is set in the infotain
-
ment system screen, all the doors will be
unlocked automatically when the vehicle
is turned off.
Impact sensing door unlock sys

tem
All doors will automatically unlock when
an impact causes the air bags to deploy.
