Drawer Tension Adjustment
Note:
The spring roller latch
tension is pre-set at the factory. If
upon installation, the drawer does
not stay sufficiently closed and
more tension is needed, the latch
can be tightened. If the drawer is
too hard to pull open, the latch
can be loosened to ease opening.
1. While the trundle drawer is open,
look underneath the center of the
deck. Locate the bottom end of
the spring roller latch at the rear
end of the trundle drawer. Open
and close the drawer to determine
if it has sufficient tension to
remain closed but is not too hard
to open (Figures 5 & 6, Detail G).
2. The slotted end of the spring
roller latch is the tension
adjustment for the drawer
retention while closed, or
resistance to open the drawer.
Use the flat blade screwdriver
to tighten or loosen the roller
latch tension as needed for the
noted conditions. To increase
the tension, turn the adjustment
screw slot clockwise. To loosen
the tension, turn the adjustment
screw slot counter-clockwise
(Figure 6 & Detail G).
