IV. WHEELCHAIR USE & CONFIGURATION

P. Backrest

WARNING: Ensure hangers are locked in place before using wheelchair. Unlocked
hangers while using the wheelchair could cause a fall resulting in serious injury or death.

How to Fold the Angle Adjustable Backrest Down

1. Push the levers (Fig. 16:A) toward the front of the chair to disengage the latches. If the

backrest seating is attached, both latches must be disengaged simultaneously in order to
allow the backrest to fold.

2. Push forward on the backrest to rotate it downward. Once it begins to rotate forward the

latch levers may be released.

How to Remove a Stroller Handle

1. Depress the buttons (Fig. 17:A) on both sides of the chair toward the lower end of the stroller

tubes to disengage the locking tabs.

2. Pull the handle out of the receivers to remove or push the stroller handle into the receivers to

install. For best results, insert both sides at the same time.
