IV. WHEELCHAIR USE & CONFIGURATION
H. Tubular Flip Up Armrest
WARNING: These arms offer only a lock against rotation and are designed to bear a
downward force only. They will remove completely if pulled up on and cannot be used to
lift or otherwise handle the chair. Failure to comply with the instructions above may result
in the armrest accidentally disconnecting from the wheelchair and result in a fall or loss of
control and may cause serious injury or death.
• Do not use tubular flip up armrests to support your weight for pressure relief or
during a transfer. The tubular flip up armrests are for resting your arms on only and
using them to support your weight could cause a fall resulting in serious injury or
death.
How to Use Your Armrest
1. To flip the armrest up, lift the armrest up until the stop block (Fig. 3:A) rests against the
backrest cane.
2. To flip the armrest down, lower the armrest down until the top section of the stop block (Fig.
3:A) rests against the backrest cane.
